If you don’t have this information, contact your Internet service provider (ISP) directly or reset your modem using the default factory settings. Here’s how to reset your HughesNet modem in three easy steps.
Step 1: Know What’s Wrong
If your HughesNet modem has stopped working or is acting strangely, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take before calling customer service. The first thing you should do is power off the unit by unplugging it and waiting for five minutes. Once the unit has been off for five minutes, plug it back into an outlet and wait while it boots up. If the device still isn’t working after powering on and restarting, then it’s time to call customer service. You may also want to try rebooting the modem, as that might solve any problems that have cropped up since you last did so. Step 3: Plug it back in
Plug the modem back in and wait for it to reconnect. This can take a few minutes. The modem will automatically reset once it has reconnected.
